for minimal size and power consumption, this recorder packs hours
of data streams into a small package. This device consumes less
than 50 Watts of power and is housed in an lightweight, aluminum
enclosure. Hardware fits in half of a 1U space so that (2) units
can be mounted, side by side, in a 1U 19" rack space.
With all controls located on the front panel, the operator
has full control with the push of a few buttons using the menu
driven display. The STM-1/PDH Recorder accepts a range of digital
streams for STM-1 (155 Mbps) optical through E1 electrical,
including all sub channel rates between and provides the same
outputs for playback.
The device records over 7 hours of STM-1 and much more at lower
rates.
